This study analyzed the professional trajectories of women in the corporate environment, examining how gender-related factors influence their experiences, key challenges, and professional achievements. The research was conducted in Ilhéus, Bahia, utilizing a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive approach. Data collection involved the application of structured questionnaires to ten women currently active in the labor market, comprising two distinct groups: five with children and five without children. The findings demonstrate that women continue to face significant challenges throughout their careers, primarily linked to persistent social and cultural barriers within the workplace. Specifically, participants who are mothers recognized that parenthood introduces an additional layer of complexity in balancing personal and professional life, while those without children highlighted the pronounced lack of female representation in strategic leadership positions. Overall, a universal commitment among all participants was observed toward continuous learning and professional refinement as a central strategy for distinction and career recognition. It is concluded that entrenched social and cultural barriers still represent concrete obstacles to the professional advancement of women in organizational environments.
