Parvovirus is a highly contagious infectious disease that primarily affects puppies, with a high mortality rate and rapid clinical progression. Despite the widespread availability of effective vaccines and treatments, many owners still fail to properly follow the vaccination protocol and are slow to recognize the initial clinical signs of the disease, hindering early diagnosis and compromising the animal's prognosis. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate how early diagnosis influences the clinical prognosis in puppies with parvovirus. The results demonstrated that, unfortunately, parvovirus in puppies is not the focus of scientific research, such as articles, but content related to the general age range of dogs was found. However, even with this lack of documentation, we were able to confirm the importance of early diagnosis for a higher survival rate in puppies and adult dogs in general, as this allows treatment to begin before new complications arise due to the presence of the virus and its effects on canine health.
