Introduction: Gestational syphilis is a bacterial infection that can lead to severe maternal and child health consequences. Objectives: To describe nursing actions regarding the management of gestational syphilis in the context of Primary Health Care (PHC). Methodology: This is a scoping review using the following research databases: Virtual Health Library, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, and Scientific Electronic Library Online. Studies dated between 2021 and 2025 were selected, and the Boolean operator AND was applied as a search strategy. The search criteria were: potentially relevant scientific works in the area of nursing with a specific focus on the diagnosis and treatment of gestational syphilis in PHC. Furthermore, studies that were not limited to nursing or were not within the low-complexity health category were excluded. Thus, the research was based on the following guiding question: How can nursing contribute to gestational syphilis screening in PHC? Results and discussion: The study shows that, in addition to the nurse's role as a health educator for pregnant women and their partners regarding syphilis, there were also gaps in communication, management, and specific treatment for the infection. Conclusion: The studies demonstrate the importance of the nurse in screening, continuous and humane prenatal care, the inclusion of the partner in prenatal care, and the essential health education regarding treatment and vertical prevention.
