Introduction: Pressure injuries are localized damage to the skin and underlying tissues and are common in intensive care unit patients. Nursing care is essential for the control and prevention of pressure injuries, and the team must use strategies and assessments to classify the risk of injury. Objective: Present guiding measures to reduce the prevalence of pressure injuries, based on the care and assistance provided by the nursing team. Methodology: This study is an integrative literature review based on the following guiding question: "How do nursing team care and strategies contribute to the prevention and treatment of pressure injuries in intensive care unit patients?" The data collected will be collected from the Virtual Health Library (VHL), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), using the descriptors: pressure injury; intensive care unit; nursing care. Results and discursion: The results showed that nursing plays a fundamental role, implementing practices such as schedules, individualized and humanized care, using evidence-based protocols, continuous monitoring of injury progression, and working together with the multidisciplinary team. Conclusion: The study highlighted that nursing care in the ICU is essential for preventing pressure injuries, using the Braden Scale and evidence-based protocols to ensure safety and quality of care.
