Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) are among the major occupational health problems today, affecting millions of Brazilian workers. This study aims to investigate strategies for preventing repetitive strain injuries (RSI-WMSDs) in workers through the application of ergonomic practices to promote occupational health. This is a literature review conducted through electronic searches in the SciELO and Medline databases, using the descriptors "Repetitive Strain Injuries," "RSI-WMSDs," "Ergonomics," and "Secondary Prevention," considering articles published between 2020 and 2025. The main causes of RSI/WMSDs were observed to be mechanical overload, repetitive movements, inadequate posture, and lack of breaks, resulting in manifestations such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, chronic pain, and functional limitations. Thus, it was concluded that preventing RSI/WMSDs requires integrated and continuous actions, focusing on ergonomics, early diagnosis, and systematic monitoring of workers. Strengthening public policies and investing in health education are essential to promoting safer, healthier, and more productive work environments.
