Abstract

The continuity of scientific production and critical thinking in Dentistry requires spaces dedicated to the collective construction of knowledge. It is in this context that Volume II of the digital work "Odontologia em Movimento: uma abordagem multidisciplinar" (Odontology in Motion: A Multidisciplinary Approach) was created, reaffirming the commitment to training professionals who are aware, up-to-date, and prepared for the multiple challenges of contemporary dental practice.

This second volume maintains the purpose of broadening horizons and deepening discussions that engage with the most recent clinical, technological, and social demands of Dentistry. Here, knowledge is shared as a tool for transformation, and each chapter reflects the authors' methodological rigor, careful theoretical approach, and sensitivity to the realities faced in daily dental practice.

The collection brings together critical reflections on emerging therapeutic resources, highly prevalent clinical conditions, and lesions with unusual behavior, while also valuing integrative practices and the insertion of Dentistry in strategic public health contexts. This diversity of approaches reflects the dynamic nature of the profession and the constant need for updating and interdisciplinary dialogue.

More than a sequel to the previous volume, this edition represents a new breath of fresh air for scientific discussion and the strengthening of academic and professional training. It is, therefore, a valuable tool for students, faculty, clinicians, and all who recognize science as a path to excellence in oral health care.

We thank all the authors, co-authors, and collaborators who contributed their knowledge and experience to make this project possible. May this material inspire new research, strengthen ethical and humane practices, and contribute to the construction of an increasingly critical, innovative, and socially committed dentistry.
