This study sought to discuss suicide, since it is a global public health problem that negatively impacts human and social development. In Brazil, mortality rates due to intentional self-harm have increased significantly in recent years, highlighting the need for more careful and appropriate research and analysis of this condition that affects the entire society. Understanding the epidemiological profile of these individuals who commit suicide is of fundamental importance in preventing future damage, for which data from the DATASUS platform was used and analysis of seven variables will be used: sex, age group, education, marital status, color/race, place of occurrence and month of death. The results, therefore, showed a profile that is more prevalent in males, aged 20 to 29, with 8 to 11 years of schooling, among single people, of white color/race, with the preferred place being home and the month of death being november, thus alerting to a selective group that must take special care, especially in primary care at the SUS, which covers the vast majority of the population and is the gateway to medical/professional care.
