The World Trade Organization (WTO) plays an essential role in regulating international trade and settling disputes between its members. This article analyzes the WTO's role in resolving trade disputes by exploring the legal and institutional mechanisms used to address conflicts between countries. In addition to examining methods such as negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, the study discusses the main challenges faced by the organization and the criticisms directed at its dispute settlement system. The research also examines the impact of the WTO’s actions on the dynamics of global trade and highlights the importance of an effective resolution process for maintaining international economic order. Finally, the article presents reflections on the system’s advances and limitations, suggesting improvements to strengthen the WTO’s role as a global trade mediator.
