This article aims to analyze the situation of the community and how this situation influences the reintegration of prisoners into society. Several conditioning factors that lead to non-reintegration into society will be pointed out, as well as the means for reintegration. It is certainly known that before being considered a criminal, the prisoner is a citizen with rights guaranteed by the Highest Law and that they must be available to enjoy and consequently put into practice during their experience as a prisoner in the Brazilian prison system. In short, this work brings positive and negative points for an effective social reintegration, knowing that the state of the prison system is in calamitous failure with undignified conditions for the prison population, allowing a criminal recidivism disproportionate to the reintegration, which is the true reason for the Penal Enforcement Law.
