Interdisciplinarity is the process of communication between two or more disciplines. Its purpose is to solve existing problems, and is a way of joining forces from different areas to solve them. It often ends up creating new disciplines, although this is not the purpose but rather a consequence of this interaction. In the health area, specifically, we observe a more palpable interaction of this phenomenon, due mainly to two factors: 1 - the enormous number of branches, making it unlikely that a professional will be an expert in several of them; 2 - although there are this large number of branches, the human body is one, and there is not a single function in the body that does not interact with at least one other.
