This article aims to establish a relationship between the Maria da Penha Patrol, the women's protection network, and the rates of police incidents involving domestic violence in the municipality of Rolândia, northern Paraná. For readers unfamiliar with the subject, it is important to highlight the history of the Maria da Penha Law, the Maria da Penha Patrol in the Brazilian Military Police, and the importance of implementing this type of specialized policing. In 2023, the 15th Military Police Battalion, headquartered in Rolândia, understood the need to improve the response to incidents involving domestic violence, beginning work to find alternatives to guarantee the defense of women in the field of public safety. A few months after the start of the activity currently carried out by the Military Police, municipal authorities identified the need to build a network to provide assistance and protection to women victims of domestic and family violence. At the beginning of the work carried out by the Maria da Penha Patrol in the municipality, there was a considerable increase in the number of incidents attended by the corporation, whereas, after the implementation of the women's protection network, these numbers decreased again, remaining stable. This phenomenon, referred to in this article as the stationary phase, is the object of study and will serve to understand the importance of a protective and active network that provides support, but above all, sustainability in the protection system for women victims of domestic violence.
