THE IMPORTANCE OF ARBITRATION AS A MEANS: FOR RESOLVING BUSINESS DISPUTES

Abstract

Arbitration is part of a set of appropriate methods for resolving conflicts, with the aim of facilitating the access of the disputing parties to more effective means of resolving their disputes. Thus, the main objective of this article is to present arbitration as an instrument to assist in resolving business disputes. To this end, it specifically records the origin of arbitration and its development in Brazilian law; as well as presents the concept and general aspects of arbitration; highlighting the importance of arbitration as a cooperative instrument for resolving business disputes. The research was characterized as qualitative, using the bibliographic research method, through exploratory and descriptive investigation. It is worth noting that the topic currently represents a simplified and rapid way to resolve conflicts, which can help in processes in the business sphere, especially for businesspeople who often expect a quick resolution by the Judiciary.
