In the current times, discussions about humanized care have increasingly become a topic that is addressed by the most diverse professionals in the health sector, carrying out a review of the postures adopted within health care practices, through the strengthening of the work of teams, leading to a reflection mainly regarding the impacts that such practice can provide to the user, regarding humanized health care. The role of the nurse in humanized care in the area of urgency and emergency assumes that the main role of the nurse in the emergency room is to provide safe and risk-free care. Humanizing health consists of recognizing the practices of coexistence between the professional and the client, through respect and trust, enabling a more dignified and fair reception to the patient. To present a reflection on the humanized care of the nurse in the face of urgency and emergency services. METHOD: The study was an integrative literature review, whose method allows the synthesis of several previously published studies, based on the findings presented by the research, resulting in an expanded analysis of the literature on the subject under study. The searches were carried out through the Virtual Health Library (BVS), the Regional Nursing Library, Scielo, among other electronic addresses. RESULTS: The research confirmed the great importance of humanized nursing care in the emergency and urgency network.
