This paper analyzes the impacts of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) on the Brazilian digital environment, highlighting its legal principles, its articulation with other national standards, and its comparison with international legislation, such as the European GDPR. It also addresses the legal implications, technological and organizational challenges for companies, especially small and medium-sized ones, and the sectoral impacts on health, education, finance, and e-commerce. The qualitative research, based on bibliographic and documentary analysis of recent sources (2022-2025), points to the need to strengthen oversight, professional training, and international cooperation to consolidate the culture of data protection in Brazil.
