This paper discusses sexual violence against children and adolescents in Brazil, focusing on chemical castration as an alternative penal measure aimed at reducing criminal recidivism. The research is based on the observation that the Brazilian penal system has not been able to effectively prevent the repetition of sexual crimes, especially against vulnerable victims. Using the deductive method and bibliographic review, the study analyzes chemical castration from a criminal, ethical and constitutional perspective, highlighting its application in countries such as the United States and several European nations. The measure, which consists of administering hormonal substances to inhibit the libido of those convicted of sexual crimes, is examined based on Bill No. 3,127/2019, currently under consideration in the National Congress. The paper defends the adoption of chemical castration as an effective and necessary alternative to addressing sexual violence against children and adolescents, as long as the principles of legality, voluntariness and specialized medical monitoring are respected. It is concluded that the proposal represents a proportional response to the gravity of the crimes committed and aims to ensure greater protection for children and adolescents in the Brazilian legal system.
