This article provides a critical analysis of the progression of venous diseases in Brazil from 2015 to 2025, focusing on phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, embolism, and venous thrombosis. The quantitative and descriptive study, based on official DataSUS data, evaluated hospitalizations by age, gender, and region. Findings reveal an alarming rise in these conditions, particularly among the elderly and women. Population aging, sedentary behavior, obesity, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are identified as key contributing factors. The data underscore the urgency of effective preventive strategies such as systematic thromboprophylaxis, early diagnosis, and public awareness campaigns. It concludes that reinforcing public health policies aimed at prevention and appropriate management of these diseases is crucial to curb incidence, reduce mortality, and ease the burden on healthcare systems.
