This study addressed the relevance of electrical projects in residential construction, focusing on safety, energy efficiency, sustainability and integration of new technologies. The objective was to analyze how the development of well-planned electrical projects directly impacts the quality of constructions, ensuring efficient and safe systems. The methodology adopted consisted of a literature review, exploring recent studies on best practices in residential electrical projects, with an emphasis on aspects such as the use of automation, renewable energy sources, BIM and project compatibility. The results indicated that an efficient electrical project contributes to reducing risks, optimizing energy consumption and integrating sustainable technologies, in addition to adding value to homes. It was also found that the use of new tools, such as BIM, facilitates the execution of more accurate projects and integrates all construction systems, preventing errors. The conclusion indicates that adequate planning of the electrical system is essential to ensure the safety, comfort and sustainability of buildings, directly reflecting on the quality of life of residents and the appreciation of the property in the market.
