The objective of this work was to report the case of a 23-year-old female patient with giant cell tumor (GCT) in the 4th finger of the left hand, affecting by contiguity the topography of 3rd, 4th, and 5th metacarpal regions phalangeal.
Patient pain began 8 months before the diagnostic, evolving with local tumor.
She was submitted to clinical examinations, radiographic examinations, and magnetic resonance imaging as well as a study histological of material collected from incisional biopsy, which suggested the diagnosis of GCT in the 4th proximal phalanx. Therefore, it was decided to treat the surgical treatment of amputation of the fingers affected by the tumor. The patient progressed satisfactorily over the 5 years following surgical treatment, without local recurrences or metastases.
