Significant progress has been made in endodontics, especially in terms of better tools and methods that make operations safer, more efficient, and more comfortable for patients. One of the most important improvements in contemporary endodontic practice is the use of nickel-titanium rotary instruments. These tools have revolutionized the preparation and shaping of root canals, improving clinical results and lowering the technical difficulties faced by practitioners. Rotating devices have several advantages over manual files, including shorter operating times, more effective root canal cleaning, and a decreased risk of fracture, particularly in complex or curved canal anatomy. Adoption of these tools, however, necessitates mastery of suitable approaches and a learning curve. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the use of mechanized tools in endodontics, taking into account their effectiveness, safety, and efficiency in root canal therapy, as well as their role in lowering complications and enhancing clinical results. A descriptive bibliographic review was the methodology employed, and it was based on scientific articles chosen for their scientific quality and significance from 2015 to 2024. It is concluded that the literature review was essential for gathering and analyzing informative findings regarding rotary and reciprocating systems in Endodontics.
