Abstract

The present book to demonstrate a correlation between digital vulnerability, economic vulnerability and technical or informational vulnerability as a determining factor in making access to justice unfeasible for people included in the Single Registry and classified as living in extreme poverty, poverty and low income in Brazil. and carry out a study comparing access to justice in the United States of America.  The research is necessary, as investigating the different forms of digital vulnerabilities, and how they impact access to justice, allows us to identify the factors that contribute to making the Judiciary's commitment unfeasible. The guiding question of this study is: Has the virtualization of access to justice by the judiciary created barriers to access to justice and increased the marginalization of digitally vulnerable people in extreme poverty, poverty and low income? These are quantitative and qualitative methodologies and the collection is carried out using primary data, through the application of an online questionnaire and with a spatial focus on the city of Uruaçu-GO in the population classified in the Single Registry database as extreme poverty, poverty and low income. The results presented show the obstacles identified in the groups studied are access to the internet, lack of electronic devices, lack of access to technical and informational information in simple language on how to access justice. However, the justice system does not seem to be prepared to face this challenge since the groups studied do not have financial resources to purchase goods such as cell phones or computers, and internet services, which enable digital inclusion and, therefore, are called vulnerable. digital, as they are economically and informationally vulnerable.
