Cybercrimes against the elderly in Brazil have been intensifying, highlighting the vulnerability of this population in the digital environment. The lack of digital education, social exclusion, and excessive trust in online information make the elderly easy targets for frauds such as phishing and virtual fraud. The aim of this study was to analyze the vulnerability of the elderly to cybercrimes, identifying their causes and potential legal and social solutions. The methodology used was the bibliographic analysis of recent articles and studies on the topic, allowing an understanding of the current scenario and the measures adopted to combat these crimes. The results indicated that the vulnerability of the elderly is exacerbated by the lack of digital literacy and social isolation. Additionally, public policies and private sector initiatives were found to be insufficient to adequately protect them. It was identified that digital education, the creation of specific public policies, and the improvement of security on digital platforms are essential to mitigate risks. Protecting the elderly requires an integrated approach, with collaboration between government, companies, and society, creating a safer and more inclusive digital environment for this vulnerable group.
