Arthrosis, or osteoarthritis, is the most common form of arthritis and a leading cause of chronic pain and disability in adults, associated with aging. It involves cartilage degradation and bone changes. Objective: To describe the epidemiological profile of hospitalizations for osteoarthritis in Cascavel, Paraná, Brazil, from 2013 to 2023. Methodology: Descriptive, quantitative, and retrospective study, carried out with data from DATASUS. Hospitalizations for osteoarthritis from 2013 to 2023 were included, considering age group, sex, color/race, and expenses. Results: There were 524 hospitalizations, with a decreasing trend. The most affected age group was 60 to 69 years (32.4%). Women accounted for 60% of hospitalizations and 82.6% of patients were white. The average cost of hospitalization was R$4,123.74, totaling R$2,160,837.59 in the period. Conclusion: The data are essential for public health policies aimed at prevention, early diagnosis and effective treatment of osteoarthritis, aiming to reduce hospitalizations and improve the quality of life of patients in Cascavel.
