EPIDEMIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF CASES OF MALIGNANT NEOPLASIA OF BONES AND JOINT CARTILAGE IN THE SOUTHEAST REGION FROM 2019 TO 2023

Malignant neoplasia results from the growth of a disordered cellular mass with the possibility of spreading to adjacent organs and tissues. This article aims to analyze the epidemiology of unspecified bone and cartilage neoplasia in the southeast region over a period of 4 years. This analysis was carried out through analysis of data from DATASUS with a retrsopective and observational analysis. The result showed that in the last 4 years there were 2044 deaths due to malignant neoplasia of bones and cartilage, with th highest number of cases in the state of São Paulo. The predominance was in males and in the age group with two peaks, one between the first and second decade of life and the second peak between the sixth and seventh decade of life.
