Exploring statistical data, case studies and specialized literature on the subject, the article seeks to evaluate the advances and challenges faced in the practice of this legislation, including the need for improvements in infrastructure and in the training of professionals involved in the reception of victims of domestic violence. The article also highlights the importance of public awareness campaigns, which are key to preventing violence and promoting a culture of respect and gender equality. A multidisciplinary approach, involving civil society, NGOs and public institutions, is essential to strengthen the women's protection network.
