Abstract

Sexual violence against indigenous women in Rondônia highlights serious flaws in the Brazilian penal system, deeply affecting victims and exposing deficiencies in justice. This article looks at the extent of the problem and the challenges faced, such as the lack of specialized training and cultural barriers. In addition, it highlights the difficulty of victims' access to health services and psychological support. Initiatives and public policies are discussed, with recommendations to improve the training of professionals, the collection of evidence and the creation of specialized centers, in addition to promoting the participation of indigenous communities in the formulation of policies.
