Telecommuting provides workers with unprecedented flexibility, allowing them to carry out their professional activities from any location with internet access. However, this modality also raises significant questions about labor conditions, social impact, and human rights in the workplace. Thus, the central question of this study is to understand to what extent telecommuting can be considered a form of freedom for workers or if, in reality, it introduces new challenges to human rights. The aim of this research is to investigate the impact of telecommuting on reconciling individual freedom with human rights challenges. To this end, the methodology adopted is based on bibliographical and documentary research. Upon concluding this analysis, it becomes evident that the issue of telecommuting cannot be reduced to a simple dichotomy between freedom and challenge to human rights. Instead, it represents a delicate balance between the benefits of flexibility and autonomy provided by telecommuting and the challenges associated with protecting workers' fundamental rights.
