Considering that the Ministry of Health has as one of its main challenges the implementation of the Family Health Strategy (ESF), which has as its outstanding characteristics the multiprofessional and interdisciplinary care, whose performance takes place in carefully delineated territories, in which diagnoses are carried out situations to understand the dynamics of people's lives, this article proposes to present an experience report about the development of these activities in a Basic Family Health Unit (USF) in Maceió/AL. It was prepared using research on electronic search sites, using descriptors such as: health work team and interdisciplinarity in health work, in order to identify the scientific production carried out on the subject to theoretically support it. It was sought, which actions should be carried out so that interdisciplinary teams do not act in a way that is out of step with the community in which it operates. It is concluded that interdisciplinary teams achieve a more dynamic performance in relation to prevention and/or intervention in community health.
