Abstract

This article aimed to investigate the practices of inclusive educational methodologies, with regard to Specialized Educational Assistance (SEA) offered to students with disabilities in the Multifunctional Resource Room. Specialized Educational Assistance (SEA) faces numerous challenges in promoting the inclusion of these students, from compliance with legislation to the effective implementation of resources and Teacher Training. These challenges require specific methods that can guarantee an inclusive and egalitarian educational space, aiming to break down barriers, for the full learning of atypical students in Regular Education. This article aims to contribute to the understanding of the objective and purpose of SEA in the school community. Finally, historical aspects and laws related to the creation and maintenance of school SEA were analyzed. For this purpose, a fully bibliographic research methodology was used on the theme of Specialized Educational Assistance (SEA), aiming to achieve the general and specific objectives proposed, through readings, from books, articles, laws and historical aspects and electronic sources that address the topic indicated.
