Abstract

Digital technology has played a fundamental role in the democratization of information and access to knowledge. This study aims to conduct a literature review on the relationship between information and communication technologies (ICTs) and female empowerment, especially in the context of women in situations of social vulnerability. The article analyzes how these technologies can act as tools for digital inclusion, education, economic autonomy and social participation, while discussing the challenges posed by the dissemination of misinformation and ideological content. The review addresses studies that discuss information management, the influence of social networks and the impacts of ICTs on the construction of knowledge and the strengthening of female citizenship.
