The study analyzed the strategies adopted by public and private hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic, identifying the impacts of these measures on hospital management. The problem investigated consisted of understanding which strategies were implemented and what the effects of these actions were on the health system's ability to respond to the health crisis. The general objective was to examine the approaches used by hospital institutions and assess the legacies left by the pandemic for health management. The methodology used was based exclusively on bibliographic research, through the review of scientific articles, institutional reports and technical documents on the subject. During the development, the emergency strategies applied were analyzed, such as the expansion of beds, the restructuring of administrative processes and the use of telemedicine. The impacts of the crisis on health professionals were also discussed, including work overload and the need for new training. The final considerations pointed out that the pandemic highlighted the importance of strategic planning, technological modernization and cooperation between the public and private sectors. The study contributed to the understanding of the measures that demonstrated greater effectiveness and highlighted the need for future research that deepens the quantitative analysis of the impacts of these strategies on hospital efficiency and the health of frontline workers.
