Abstract

Biomass Energy is a good alternative for countries with the production capacity of their raw materials, the only problem is the size of the plantations of their raw materials for energy generation, this size ends up limiting the energy generation power of Biomass. The objective of this work is through a bibliometric review on Biomass Energy, which is the review that collects important data to find out more about the subject of Biomass Energy, how is the research demand for this subject, and in this way know which countries publish more about Biomass Energy and which years had the most publications on Biomass Energy, so with this information we will know if Biomass Energy is much researched and studied, if there is a lot of interest in this type of energy generation or if studies on this topic are still beginning. The methodology was through bibliometric analysis using the Web of Science platform as a source of data collection, through steps we can develop a methodology that the results and conclusion met the objective of the work. The result was that 3136 articles have been published on the subject of Biomass Energy since 1969 and Brazil is in 7th place in volume of publications on this topic. The conclusion is that only countries with the production capacity of this type of energy generation carry out research on Biomass Energy, but this research must have the aim of generating a lot of energy with little Biomass.
