Abstract

Solar Energy is an alternative energy source that has a promising future, as a few years ago this idea was not even considered, and now it has been implemented, it is still expensive but there may be advances with research. The objective of this work is through a bibliometric review on Solar Energy, which is the review that collects important data to learn more about the subject of Solar Energy, and in this way to know which countries publish more about Solar Energy and which years had the most publications on Solar Energy, so with this information we will know if Solar Energy is heavily researched, if there is a lot of interest in this topic or if studies on this topic are still beginning. The methodology was through bibliometric analysis using the Web of Science platform as a data collection source. The result was that the countries that publish the most articles are China and the United States and Brazil is in 22nd position in the ranking of countries that publish the most. Publications on Solar Energy began in 1949. The conclusion is that all countries need to dedicate more time to research to improve the potential of this area with the theme of Solar Energy, because if we took advantage of all the energy coming from the sun we would have energy for the entire globe only coming from the sun.
