The infertility can be caused by various factors, with anovulation being one of the main causes. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrinopathy in women of reproductive age and the leading cause of anovulatory infertility. This article aims to compile and analyze the available therapeutic options used in the treatment of infertility associated with PCOS. A literature review was conducted using the PubMed and BVS medical databases, employing the indexing terms “polycystic ovary syndrome,” “infertility,” and “treatment,” with the Boolean operator “AND.” A total of 24 scientific articles were included after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. The studies analyzed indicated that clomiphene citrate remains the most used option despite its limitations. Alternatives such as aromatase inhibitors, insulin sensitizers, and therapeutic combinations demonstrated greater efficacy in some cases. In addition to pharmaceuticals, lifestyle interventions, supplementation, and complementary therapies offered promising approaches. Assisted reproductive techniques were also considered as an option, although they present risks that must be assessed. Therefore, the treatment of infertility in PCOS should be individualized, considering not only the efficacy of medical protocols but also the metabolic, psychological, and quality-of-life aspects of patients.
