Abstract

The objective of this study was to conceptually analyze process mapping within the scope of project management and examine this process in the Military Police of Paraná. The research method employed was exploratory and descriptive, with qualitative approaches through the review of previously developed materials in search engines such as Google Scholar, Scielo, thesis repositories, as well as through the analysis, reading, and organization of the selected material. The results showed that project management and process mapping constitute a strategy that can contribute to reducing errors and improving organizational performance. It is concluded that project management and the concurrent process mapping can identify potential failures, complexities requiring restructuring, and activities that do not add value and can therefore be eliminated without disrupting process flow. Additionally, it enables improvements aimed at simplifying processes, reducing deadlines, and accelerating results.
