The Engineer or Architect specializes in Occupational Safety Engineering and becomes an Occupational Safety Engineer. This professional ensures worker life safety and audits in companies are a fundamental part of these guarantees. The objective of this work is to provide ways so that through audits in the area of occupational safety, the Occupational Safety Engineer can reduce possible expenses, that is, losses to the company, so after proposing ways, evaluate their cost-benefit and if they really have an effect, in the situation of avoiding moral and material expenses in favor of the company's worker. The methodology was bibliographical research, through studies, readings of documents, handouts and articles, so that we can develop a methodology that arrives at a result and concludes that meets the objective of this work. The result was that audits are fundamental, it reduces risks by meaning that the company does not have to pay compensation or assessments, it has an effect and is viable, as the cost-benefit ratio is very good. The conclusion is that with the audit it is possible to make the work environment as safe for both the employer and the employee, so a good work safety team will prevent as many accidents and dangers for workers as possible, which could make them ill and incapacitate them. or lead to his death.
