This study investigates the relationship between the Maria da Penha Law and Restorative Justice in Brazil from 2019 to 2023, analyzing how these approaches complement each other. Publications on the subject are widely distributed across the country, with a greater concentration in the most populous states, such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. The most cited authors include specialists in criminal law, criminology and sociology, who offer diverse perspectives on the application of the Maria da Penha Law in conjunction with the principles of Restorative Justice. The most analyzed subjects range from the effectiveness of the Maria da Penha Law in preventing and combating domestic violence to the feasibility and challenges of implementing restorative practices in the criminal justice system. In addition, the study identifies different types of restorative projects, such as awareness and education programs for aggressors, mediation of family and community conflicts, and support and empowerment initiatives for victims of domestic violence. These projects aim not only to punish aggressors, but also to promote accountability, reconciliation and reparation for the damage caused, contributing to a more holistic and humanized approach to resolving conflicts related to gender-based violence.
