This article examines the effects of cannabis legalization in Brazil, considering medicinal, recreational, and industrial aspects. It analyzes the economic impact, public health benefits, and social changes resulting from regulation. Based on experiences from countries like Canada, Uruguay, and Mexico, we explore how legalization can expand access to cannabidiol (CBD)-based medications, weaken the illegal market, reduce bureaucracy, and promote responsible consumption. The analysis covers the regulation of the production, transportation, and commercialization chain, proposing an integrated model for cannabis use that respects the Brazilian context. We conclude that legalization has the potential to bring economic, social, and health benefits, provided it is accompanied by effective public policies to ensure safety, equity, and education.
