This article aimed to analyze child labor, highlighting how it affects the physical and mental development of vulnerable children and adolescents, in addition to prolonging the cycle of poverty present in society. The analysis addresses the structural relationships rooted in society and the consequences of child labor, taking into account inequality, Brazil's slavery heritage and the economic vulnerability of the least favored parts. To achieve the proposed objectives, the deductive method was used as a methodological method, carrying out bibliographic and documentary research. In view of this, the results indicate that for the eradication of child labor to occur, it is necessary to bring together the efforts of the State, society and the family, which involves awareness, reporting and monitoring in all areas of society so that strengthening can occur. of comprehensive protection systems for children and adolescents and thus promote their broad development.
