The case study on "Sustainability and the Environment in the Automotive Industry" explores the transformation that the automotive sector is experiencing in response to growing more ecological and responsible demands. The main focus is technological innovation, such as electric and hybrid vehicles, which have contributed to reducing emissions and increasing energy efficiency. The research also addresses the growing adoption of recyclable and biodegradable materials, as well as improving production practices to reduce the consumption of natural resources and generate new waste. Social and governance responsibility, with the integration of ESG principles, is highlighted as an essential component for building a responsible corporate image. Despite advances, the sector faces continuous challenges, and the reduction of carbon footprint. The study concludes that the automotive industry is on a promising path to sustainability, with opportunities for innovation and continued development.
