With the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in 2020, there was an increase in the use of digital platforms for making online purchases, and it is important to understand how digital platforms are held civilly liable for violating the Consumer Protection Code. The general objective was to analyze the civil liability of digital platforms for damages caused to consumers, to understand the types of digital online sales platforms and to verify judicial decisions regarding the damages caused to consumers by digital platforms. The methodology used is bibliographic research. It is concluded that digital platforms can be held liable for damages caused to consumers, therefore, purchases made online are regulated, and both the digital platform and the supplier can be held liable for damages caused to consumers.
