Abstract

Ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C, is highly effective due to its antioxidant properties, making it an important ally in protecting the skin and reducing the effects of damage caused by daily life, which can provide healthier skin. As a result, several products from different brands have been emerging with this vitamin. One way to assess the authenticity of these new products is to perform stability tests contained in the Brazilian pharmacopeia. Therefore, this growing production has awakened the need to quantify the vitamin content present and evaluate the pH in two different products. These products were chosen to compare the possible differences between an industrialized and a manipulated serum.
