This article sought to describe the role and importance of nursing care for women with post-abortion conditions. This is a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach. The database search took place from August 2023 to July 2024 in the Google Scholar database with key words and terms: "Nursing Care" and "Post-Abortion". In the second search period that took place from August to October 2024, data were collected from the scientific database portal, the Virtual Health Library (BVS) and the Journal Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), using the Health Science Descriptors (DeCS): "Primary Health Care"; "Nursing Care"; "Abortion". The issue of abortion is a complex and delicate issue, taking into account public health, reproductive rights, ethical dilemmas and the valid social aspects of humanized care. From this perspective, nursing has a unique role both in detecting signs and symptoms and in developing ethical and humane care, promoting qualified care that is aligned with existing legal and bioethical principles.
