The study aims to identify the role of nurses in the prevention of trichomoniasis in primary care, according to publications in national journals, from 2020 to 2024. A detailed analysis of the methods and public policies aimed at this sexually transmitted infection (STI) was carried out. The research is an integrative analysis, based on a bibliographic review. Forty-five articles were identified in national journals that met the inclusion criteria and addressed trichomoniasis. After reading the abstracts, an exclusion criterion was applied, so that, of the 45 articles, 16 were used for the present study. From the analysis, three categories emerged: Trichomoniasis (concept), Primary care and Contribution of nurses to the prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infection. Conclusion: The benefits of nursing care are considerable, with emphasis on health promotion, prevention and recovery.
