Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) is one of the therapies of choice for some malignant and non-malignant diseases. Considered a complex and aggressive procedure, it requires specific care from professionals from different areas within the same therapeutic context. Therefore, this study aimed to survey scientific productions related to nursing care for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. It was an integrative review of the literature through the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Google databases. Academic, carried out in August 2024, totaling 14 scientific articles. The results found in this study highlighted the following thematic areas: “The role of the nurse and nursing care in the various stages of HSCT” (6); “Specific care in graft-versus-host disease (GVHD)” (2); “Strategies aiming to improve the quality of care provided to patients undergoing HSCT” (3) and “Contributions to self-management of post-hematopoietic stem cell transplant care” (3). It is concluded, therefore, that the role of the professional nurse, the HSCT process, requires specialized knowledge, complex decision-making skills in challenging situations and clinical skills to provide individualized assistance focused on the best results.
