Introduction: Dengue is the most widespread arbovirus worldwide, with a notable prevalence, particularly in tropical and subtropical countries such as Brazil. The disease vector is the female Aedes aegypti mosquito, which requires calm environments with standing water to lay its eggs, proliferating more intensely during rainy seasons. Symptoms of classic dengue primarily include myalgia, retro-orbital pain, malaise, and headache. Objectives: This study aims to present the epidemiological profile of dengue by age group in the municipality of Cascavel, Paraná, Brazil, from 2015 to 2024.Methodology: A descriptive, retrospective study with a quantitative approach, using data from the DATASUS platform on the epidemiological profile of dengue in Cascavel, Paraná, from 2015 to 2024.Results: Out of 60,416 patients, females predominated, with the highest prevalence among middle-aged individuals between 20-59 years. Dengue reached record numbers of cases and deaths in 2024 in the municipality. Most patients recovered, but comorbidities and extreme age groups increased morbidity and mortality rates. Conclusion: The high prevalence of the disease and its morbidity and mortality underscore the need for enhanced dengue control strategies, including expanded vaccination coverage and increased epidemiological surveillance, not only in the studied municipality but across the country as a whole.
