Brazil holds one of the top global positions in the field of plastic surgeries, a phenomenon that draws interest from both aesthetic and legal perspectives. In this postmodern era, where idealized standards of appearance are widely promoted in the public sphere, the issue of civil liability for plastic surgeons becomes highly relevant. This analysis begins with the premise that the Brazilian legal system has effective instruments not only to ensure the freedom of choice for those opting to modify their appearance but also to protect their physical and mental integrity. Thus, the study aims to examine the landscape of aesthetic plastic surgery from the perspective of private law in Brazil, analyzing doctrinal and jurisprudential understandings on the topic. The study adopts a deductive methodology, using bibliographic and documentary research techniques. It hypothesizes that aesthetic transformations reflect a significant interface with medicine, grounded in professional standards and the ethical basis of human dignity.
