This final paper deals with the legal consequences for those involved in slave-like labor in Brazil. The research contextualizes the various legal regulations that address the issue, such as Article 149 of the Brazilian Penal Code, labor legislation, and ILO Conventions 29 and 105. It also analyzes the legal implications that it causes in each sphere of law, in the criminal, civil, and labor spheres. It also analyzes the profile of the employer who commits the criminal act of keeping the worker in a situation analogous to slavery and also of the worker who is kept in such conditions. The research concludes that there is a huge framework in the Brazilian legal system that deals with the issue, which brings severe sanctions for those who commit such a crime and also legal mechanisms of protection and reparation for workers rescued from situations analogous to slavery.
