This study aimed to present nursing care in the treatment of burn patients using tilapia skin. The methodology adopted was a narrative review of qualitative literature, in which 41 articles were analyzed, of which 27 were selected for the production of the text. Nursing plays a fundamental role in the care process, from the initial assessment of injuries to ongoing patient monitoring. The application of tilapia skin is a recent, effective and easy-to-apply technology that alleviates the need for daily surgical changes, reduces patient discomfort and accelerates recovery, mainly due to the presence of type I collagen, which promotes healing. The role of the nursing team in this context is essential, requiring specific skills to ensure the health and well-being of patients, in addition to investigating and applying best practices in the use of tilapia skin in the treatment of burns.
