This article sought to compare the number of cases of gestational toxoplasmosis in the years 2019 to 2023, with the numbers of congenital toxoplasmosis in the same period in the state of Paraná. This is a descriptive epidemiological study, in which the data obtained is available in the TABNET system database, provided by the Ministry of Health's Health Information System (DATASUS). This research analyzed the number of tests, both negative and positive, for gestational toxoplasmosis and the numbers of congenital toxoplasmosis from 2019 to 2023. Analysis of the data revealed a high prevalence of gestational toxoplasmosis in the country, as well as an increase in cases of congenital toxoplasmosis over the period. This is worrying because toxoplasmosis can cause serious irreversible changes, which has a direct impact on public health management in Brazil.
