The study investigated the influence of Stockholm Syndrome on the behavior of victims of domestic violence, considering current legislation and jurisprudence. A comprehensive literature review was carried out, covering definitions of this issue, its history and underlying psychological mechanisms, in addition to a critical analysis of the legal framework for domestic violence and victim protection policies. The central problem of the investigation is the impact of the Syndrome on victims of domestic violence and its implications for protection policies and law enforcement, with the aim of exploring how Stockholm Syndrome affects the behavior of victims and how this influences legal processes involving domestic violence and feminicide, identify how the syndrome can interfere with victims' perception of the abuse suffered and how this can impact the application of legal measures and the determination of penalties for aggressors and present the importance of psychological assessment in the process of reintegration into society for victims of domestic violence with Stockholm Syndrome.
